Attached on eighte side of the base of the shield is a doubled, stacked scroll with the upper portion the same angle as the shield inscribed with "FROM" "WEST" on the left side and "TO" "EAST" on the right side in gold letters. |
Origin/meaning
Red, White and blue are the US National Colours and also that of the Army Materiel Command. The Globe with the Pacific Rim highlighted symbolises the Area of Operations. Mt Rainer dominates the skyline at Fort Lewis, Washington the Home Station of the Battalion. The Alpha and Omega refer to the contracting process.
The Coat of Arms and distinctive Unit Insigna ws both approved on 20 July 2000.
