Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on August 14, 2007.
The swan refers to the name of the village, which is derived from Slavic language (kolp = swan). The wavy base refers to the small bodies of water within the municipal area.
The beakers in chief are taken from the arms of the von Dewitz family, which held property in the surrounding area since the end of the 13th century and also in Cölpin since 1417, and whose family history has been closely linked to the history of the village for centuries.
The number of beakers is intended to symbolize the three villages of Cölpin, Hochkamp and Neu Käbelich.
