Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in 2023.

The first quarter symbolises the name of the village, which comes from 'Vallée caire' or 'bright valley'. The blue and the wavy division line symbolise the Creuse river. The three crosses symbolise the French resistance during the Second World War. The oak leaf in the third quarter refers to the local forests. The fourth quarter shows a Maltese cross, as the villag ehistorically belonged to the Commandery of Féniers of the Knights Hospitallier.
