Origin/meaning
Eiserfey was never a separate municipality. The arms for the village were designed and adopted in 1988.
The cross is taken from the arms of the former ruler, the State of Köln. The iron and hammers document the centuries-old iron processing in the town. The color red is meant to refer to the glowing heat during the smelting process. The bell is derived from an old Eiserfey court seal.
