HMS JELLICOE, ROYAL NAVY

Coat of arms (crest) of the HMS Jellicoe, Royal Navy
Official blazon
English Blue; a seagriffin rampant gold.

Origin/meaning

From a Supporter of the arms of Admiral of the Fleet Sir John Jellicoe (1859-1935) who commanded the Grand Fleet in the Battle of Jutland 1916. The badge was approved in 1938. But would not be used as the Nemd Jellicoe was not approved and the Ship renamed Anson.
