Maagd, houdende een schepter in de rechterhand en dragende op den linkerarm het Kindeken Jesus, gekroond en houdende in de linkerhand den aardbol, waarboven het kruis; H. Maagd en Kindeken Jesus van zilver, schepter kronen en aardbol van goud. (1978) Van lazuur, bezaaid met blokjes van goud met een keper van hetzelfde over alles heen, het schild overdekt met de gekroonde heilige Maagd, houdende een schepter in de rechterhand en dragende op de linkerarm het kindje Jezus, gekroond en houdende in de linkerhand de aardbol, waarboven het kruis; heilige Maagd en kindje Jezus van zilver, schepter, kronen en aardbol van goud.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on February 6, 1909 and confirmed on June 21, 1978.

The arms are identical to the arms of the Barons of Cruyckuenbourg de Fourneau (also Fourneau de Cruyckuenbourg), who acquired the village and estate in 1638 and who were the last Lords of Kampenhout. Saint Mary is the local patron saint. See also Ranst.
