Léon Wagener
LÉON WAGENER
Born: April 12, 1962
Deceased:
Auxiliary bishop of Luxembourg, 2019-present; Titular Bishop of Aquae Novae in Numidia
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The lion is canting for the first name of the bishop, Léon, but also symbolises the lion of Luxembourg. The two wheels in the chief are also canting, Wagener means wagon-maker. The first wheel only has three spokes, symbolising the Holy Trinity. The star and the blue of the chief are symbols for St. Mary. The wavy bars symbolise the name of the Titular See of Aquae Novae in Numidia ('new waters in Numidia').
