History: Formed at Hounslow in May 1916.

A lion passant guardant Or holding in its fore-paws a flash of lightning gules.
Motto: Sudore quam sanguine

Origin/meaning

The Lion was used in the Arms of Heston, Isleworth and Hounslow Abbey, in which area the Unit formed, The Lightning refers to a marking carried between 1916 and 1918. The Motto translates as ”By sweat and blood”. The Badge was approved in June 1939.
