The Badge shows the Coat of Arms of the Evertsen Family of Zeeland. Various members of the Family served as Navy Officers during the 17th and 18th Centuries. In 1950 the Destroyer then named Evertsen (in service 1946-1962) was presented with a Shield bearing the Evertsen Coat of Arms by the Evertsen Family. | |||
