The Cross symbolises that the Squadron was formed in Palestine. The Seaxes symbolises location to Essex in the 1930ies and the Swords indicates the role of the Squadron at thr time,<br>
namely defence of London. The Motto translate as "Standing by them". The Badge was approved in October 1936.
