Orange and White are the Colours of the Signal Corps. The Black Field symbolises the Unit's Mascots and Logo, the "Nighthawk". The Electronic flashes symbolise tactical communication and speed. Together with the annulet they symbolises an arrow hitting a bullseye alluding to the Motto. The Hawk symbolise the sprit, pride and strength of the Warrior. The Swords and Scimitar symbolises War Service in World War II, Vietnam and Southwest Asia (Operation Desert Shield/Storm). The Sun alludes to the Heath of the Saudiarabian Desert and the Jungles of Vietnam. The Cord symbolises the Unit's Commendations and Unit cooperation. | |||
The Coat of Arms and Distinctive Unit Insignia was approved on 28 September 1990. The Coat of Arms was amended to include a Crest on 18 February 1997. | |||
