====Official blazon====
In Blau über einem goldenen Dreiberg mit drei Spitzen ein zunehmender goldener Mond mit Gesicht.

====Origin/meaning====
The arms were granted on December 19, 1980.

The arms were based on the old arms of the town, which were never officially granted, but were used since 1900. The old arms showed the mountain in black, but otherwise these arms were the same as the present arms.

The crescent has been used as the village symbol for many centuries and is also shown on a shield on the local fountain. In 1899 the State Archives proposed as arms for the village a black mountain (for the Schwarzenberg) and a T-cross for the chapel of St. Anthony in the village. The local council, however, wanted to continue the use of the crescent.
