The two linked figures and motto depict the joining together in friendship of the Hobsonville and Whenuapai Stations. The figures representing ordinary Maori Warriors, are armed with Tewhatewhas to signify the vigilance exercised by the maritime and transport units based at Auckland. The Badge was approved in November 1995.
