Province : Jawa Barat
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
I have no information on the origin or meaning of these arms. Any information is welcome.
During colonial times the city used the arms below.
Colonial arms
The arms were officially adopted on November 7, 1927 and granted on October 14, 1930.
Origin/meaning
The initial arms showed a kind or a mural crown, which was not acceptable by the Dutch Court of Arms. The city then adopted the common crown for all cities.
The arms show a divided shield with the two main crops in the area, rice and tea.
