The Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders, British Army
History: Raised in 1793 as the 79th Foot, or Cameronian Volunteers. Which in 1806 become 76th Foot, or Cameron Highlanders. A second Battalion was added in 1897. In 1961 amalgamated with Seaforth Highlanders (Ross-Shire Buffs, The Duke of Albany's), British Army to form The Queen's Own Highlanders (Seaforth and Camerons), British Army.
