Additions : 1933 Klein-Süssen, Gross-Süssen

Wappen von Süssen

Official blazon

Über einer erniedrigten Schildteilung oben in Silber drei rote Zickzackbalken (der unterste angeschnitten), darunter von Schwarz und Silber geteilt.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 1933 after the merger of Gross-Süssen and Klein-Süssen. The upper half shows the zig-zag bars derived from the arms of the Lords of Bubenhofen, medieval Lords of Klein-Süssen. The lower half shows the arms of the city of Ulm, which owned Gross-Süssen.
