Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 15, 1964.

The arms show the cross of the Cistercian Abbey that used to be in the village. The other half shows the small chapel on the Schlösslberg, which was built in memory of the victory on the Ottoman troops near the village in 1664.
