NO 50 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE
History: Formed at Dover in May 1916.
Official blazon
A sword in bend argent hilted Or severing a mantle gules doubled argent.
Motto: From defence to attack.
Origin/meaning
The Badge allude to the figure of St Martin in the Arms of Dover. The Mantle also symbolises the protection given by RAF Units. The Badge was apporved in March 1940.
