NO 55 SQUADRON, ROYAL AIR FORCE
History: Formed at Castle Bromwich.
Official blazon
A cubit arm, the hand grasping a spear, all azure.
Motto: Nil nos tremefacit
Origin/meaning
The Squadron was known as ”The Spearpoints” after being part of a ”Q” Force from suez to Constantinople in 1926. The Motto translates as "Nothing shakes us”. The Badge was approved in July 1936.
