MEGGENHOFEN
State : Oberösterreich
District : Grieskirchen
Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 25, 1976.
As the village had no historical seals or coat of arms, it was decided to adopt the arms of the Ketringer family, lords of the village in the 14th and 15th century. The arms are based on the seal of Pschenko Ketringer from 1415. The meaning of the magpie and the star is not known.
