Origin/meaningThe arms of Amt Eiserfeld were granted on August 17, 1937. The gate is the entrance to an iron mine (the Reinhard Forster Erbstollen mine), the mining of iron has been of great importance to the area for many centuries. The arrow in the chief of the old arms is the symbol for iron. The lion in the upper part of the new arms is the lion of Nassau, as the area belonged to the County Nassau-Siegen. The lion of Nassau is also part of all the Ämter is the (former) district Siegen. To the Amt belonged :
