Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on March 15, 2016. The arms have taken the tower from the arms of the former Verbandsgemeinde Neuerburg and the cross from Verbandsgemeinde Irrel. The red and silver colours refer to the Counts of Vianden, who ruled the area until 1264. The wavy bend refers to the many (small) rivers in the area. The bordure is a typical symbol for a Verbandsgemeinde. The following municipalities belong to Verbandsgemeinde Südeifel:
