The arms were officially granted on ?
The pile is taken from the arms of Selsingen and is in turn based on the arms of the medieval Ritter von Selsingen. The mill wheel refers to the 4 former water mills in the municipality. The number of spokes refers to the 8 municipalities, the 21 blades to the 21 villages in the Samtgemeinde.
