Official blazon
French Parti d'argent et de gueules, a une couronne royale rodolphienne au naturel d'or gemmée d'azur, et de sinople.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in 1921.

The divided shield indicates that Chavornay was a possession of the Diocese of Lausanne.

The crown refers to the 9th century Kings of Upper Burgundy. King Rudolph II made a plea in Chavornay in 928; on this occasion he confirmed the election of a bishop of Lausanne. It is thus assumed that there was a kind of royal residence in the village.

The arms did not change after the merger in 2017.
