SABORSKO

County : Karlovac

Saborsko.jpg

Official blazon

U zelenom polju sa zlatnim/žutim obrubom srebrna/bijela crkvica s preslicom koju nadvisuje zlatna/žuta šesterokraka zvijezda.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on May 28, 2010.

The arms show the old stone masoned parish church with the typical belfry of so called distaff type built in 1726, a cultural monument. The star is reminder to the history and the symbol of rulers of the Frankopan family, during whose rule the community is first mentioned in 15th century.
