MONTILLIEZ
Canton : Vaud
Additions : 2011 Dommartin, Naz, Poliez-le-Grand, Sugnens
Official blazon
Ecartelé d’argent et de geules, à un épi de l'un à l'autre.
Origin/meaning
The arms were adopted in 2011.
The quartering refers to the four former municipalities. As all the arms of the four municipalities only had red and silver as colours, it was obvious to take these colours in the new arms as well. The wheatear refers to the fertile soil and importance of agriculture.
