Boussens
BOUSSENS
Canton: Vaud
Official blazon
D'argent au lion de gueules, à la bordure componée d'argent et de sable.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1924.
The arms are based on the arms of the oldest Lords of Boussens, who sold their estate in 1581 to the Saussure family, who held the estate until 1789. To distinguish the arms from the family arms the lion was made red instead of black.
