Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on July 20, 1964.
The arms combine the lion of the Wildgrafen, who ruled the area in medieval times, with a Pasque flower (Kuhschelle) for the nature reserve in the municipality. The base represents the hilly area of the municipality.
