PIZY
Canton : Vaud
Incorporated into : 2011 Aubonne
Official blazon
D'azur à deux colonnes d'argent soutenues chacune d'un mont du même, à trois coquilles d'or en pal.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1930.
The columns are taken from the arms of the Great Saint Bernard Abbey, whose provost, Guillaume de Pizy, had built before 1376 a strong house on his patrimonial lands in the village.
The scallops are taken from the arms of Guillaume de Grandson, who also had an estate in the village.
