State : Oberösterreich
District : Urfahr-Umgebung

Arms of Schenkenfelden
Official blazon
German blazon wanted !
English

The arms were officially granted on March 5, 1590.

The left part of the arms show the jug, which is a canting symbol (Schenkkandl). The jug was used as a symbol of the town until 1590. In 1590 Emperor Rudolf granted the present arms, in which the jug was combined with the Austrian arms. The town was directly ruled by the Princes of Austria. In 1979 the arms were again granted.
