The arms are known since the 17th century, as the arms are already shown in the Nieuwe Cronijk van Zeeland from 1696. The origin of the arms, however, is not known. The arms are most likely derived from the arms of the Lords of Wiskerke, as the same source mentions the same arms for the family. It can not be excluded, however, that the family took the arms from the village and Estate of Wiskerke. In the early 19th century the arms were also officially granted to the estate. Wapen van Wiskerke

Oorsprong/verklaring

The arms are known since the 17th century, as the arms are already shown in the Nieuwe Cronijk van Zeeland from 1696. The origin of the arms, however, is not known. The arms are most likely derived from the arms of the Lords of Wiskerke, as the same source mentions the same arms for the family. It can not be excluded, however, that the family took the arms from the village and Estate of Wiskerke. In the early 19th century the arms were also officially granted to the estate. In 1853 the arms were combined with those of 's Heer Hendriks Kinderen.
