Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted in 1945.
The two elm leaves in the upper part are a canting element. The lower half shows the twinflower (Linnaea borealis), the personal flower of the botanist Carl Linnaeus who was born in Stenbrohult near Älmhult. When Stenbrohult was merged with Älmhult in 1971, the flower became an even more appropriate symbol.
