301ST CIVIL ENGINEER SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Squadron C, 301 Airdrome Group (designated on 15 Oct 1947; organized on 5 Nov 1947; discontinued on 1 Aug 1948) and the 301 Civil Engineering Squadron (constituted as 301 Installations Squadron, Bombardment, Medium on 28 May 1948; activated on 1 Aug 1948; redesignated as 301 Installations Squadron on 16 Mar 1950; inactivated on 16 Jun 1952; redesignated as 301 Civil Engineering Squadron on 18 May 1971; activated on 1 Jul 1971; inactivated on 30 Sep 1979; activated in the Reserve on 1 Sep 1984) consolidated (3 Oct 1984) with the 301 Civil Engineering Flight (constituted on 17 Jun 1976; activated in the Reserve on 1 Jul 1976; inactivated on 15 Nov 1978). Consolidated unit redesignated as 301 Civil Engineer Squadron 1 Mar 1994.
