Motto:FRITHEILIDH SINN.

Origin/meaning

The badge features a Cape Breton schooner which is drawn from the arms of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Sydney), the Battalion’s affiliated city. The design includes stylized mountains recalling the Cape Breton highlands the Atlantic Ocean. The Motto translates as "We will serve". The badge was approved by the Canadian Heraldic Authority on March 1, 1999.
