Redesignated as 88 Bombardment Squadron (Light) on 14 Aug 1941; 88 Bombardment Squadron (Dive) on 28 Aug 1942; 495 Fighter-Bomber Squadron on 15 Aug 1943. Disbanded on 1 Apr 1944. Reconstituted, and redesignated as 495 Tactical Fighter Squadron on 24 Jan 1977. Activated on 1 Apr 1977. Inactivated on 13 Dec 1991. Redesignated as 495 Fighter Squadron on 6 Apr 2021. Activated on 1 Oct 2021.
