Origin/meaning
The Buffalo indicates the name Buffalo Soldiers given by Native Americans to Black Soldiers of the US Army. This design was choosen to indicate that the 92nd Infantry Division was the first Division of the US Army formed entierly (except Generals and Field Grade Officers) of Afro-American Personnel.
