Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 16, 2002.
The grapes in the upper part symbolise agriculture in general and viticulture in particular. The wavy bar symbolises the Cértima rive rin the municipality. The three tiles in the base symbolise the local industries and specifically the pottery and tile making traditions in the municipality.
