French | De gueules au chef échiqueté d'argent et d'azur; au clocher d'argent mouvant de la pointe et brochant sur le tout. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on May 23, 1970.
The chief is taken from the arms of the D'Ailly family, as Robert d'Ailly was Lord of the village in 1090 and the family owned the village until the late 14th century, see also Labroye, another possession of the family. The base shows the local bell tower, built in 1556.
The arms may be decorated with the War Cross 1939-1945.
