Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 19, 1996.
The rose refers to Queen Isabel and her family, who often stayed in the village. The village was given as a dowry to Queen Isabel by her husband King Dinis. The monument with the cross is a typical landmark and monument in the village. The crescent is a canting element for the medieval name of the village, Castello de Luna (Moon Castle).
