State:Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis):Kaiserslautern
Incorporated into: 1969 Enkenbach-Alsenborn
German | In Blau ein goldener Brunnen, daraus sich eine Brunnensäule mit zwei Röhren mit fließendem silbernem Wasser und einem sitzenden goldenen Löwen auf der Spitze erhebt. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on June 8, 1927.
The arms are known from the oldest seal of Alsenborn (with Enkenbach), known from 1564 and used until the end of the 18th century. The fountain may be a canting symbol (-born, from Brunnen or fountain), the two streams may refer to the two villages of Alsenborn and Enkenbach. The lion most likely is the lion of the Pfalz region.
