German | In Weiß ein durchgehendes rotes Kreuz und vier schwarze Sterne. |
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were designed in the 1950s and combine the cross of the Diocese of Konstanz with the stars from the arms of the Brünsi family. Andhausen belonged until the late 17th century to the Lordship of Berg, which was a possession of the Bishops of Konstanz, who appointed the local Vogt (sheriff, governor). For a long time these were from the Brünsi family, hence the choice for the stars.
