Dutch Gevierendeeld: I: het ordewapen der Dominicanen, gegeerd van zilver en zwart met een leliebladkruis van het een in het ander; 2: in rood een achtpuntige ster van zilver; III: in rood een weegschaal van zilver; IV; in zwart een hart van goud overtopt een kruisje van hetzelfde, met vlammen van naturel; het hart gewond van rood, waaruit drie bloeddruppels van hetzelfde. Devies: Veritas justitia caritas.

Origin/meaning

The first quarter shows the arms of the Dominicans, to which he belonged. The second also refer to St. Dominicus as the light of the world. The third quarter refers to justice and the fourth to love. The motto also reflects the lower half of the arms (it means truth, justice and love).
