Established: 1932 as Mission "Sui Iuris" of Tukuyu, whoch become a Apostolic Prefecture in 1938 and a Apostolic Vicariate in 1938, Which changed name to Mbeya in 1949. Elevated to Diocese in 1953.
Elevate to Archdioces in 2018.
