Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on October 13, 1999.
The arms are canting: "bartninkas" refers to "beekeeper" in Lithuanian, or, more exactly, this ancient term differs from the common "beekeeper" ("bitininkas") and refers to "keeper of forest bees living in hollow trees".
