Origin/meaning
The first arms were granted on October 21, 1958 and the current arms on December 13, 1988.
Until 1958 the village used the arms shown below, which were not officially granted. These were the arms of the Lords of Berthout-Boutersem, who ruled the village from 1650-1705. In 1958 new arms were granted, which were those of the Counts of Romrée, Lords of Bonheiden from 1705-1795.
The arms from 1988 were the old arms of Rijmenam, as the Cuypers family also were lord of Bonheiden.
