Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on November 8, 2002.
The arms show in the upper part a prehistoric monument, as several megalithic monuments were found in the parish. The oak and pine branches symbolise the forests in the area. The black base symbolises the hills of the Algarve in which the parish is situated. The hunting horn refers to the former hunting in the area.
