Origin/meaning
The field of the arms is tinctured in the armiger's favorite colours. Two zules (heraldic column) are displayed, representing their interest in classical antiquity and history in general. The antlers allude to the coat of arms of Epe in Gelderland, reflecting the Timmer family's place of origin where its progenitor Hendrik Jansen Timmer (1692-1775) was born and raised. The hammer between the antlers is canting on the surname "Timmer," evoking the Dutch word timmerman (carpenter).
