Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted on March 18, 1925.
The arms refer to the thermal baths and spa in the village. The wavy bar refers to the water. The eagle is the Polish eagle and the lion is the lion of Persia. The thermal baths have several royal connections; first the Polish King Stanisław Leszczyński, who was also Duke of Lorraine from 1737-1766, had the thermal springs tested after a young girl was cured from kidney stones, which started the development of the spa. The second is that the Shah of Persia visited the spa in 1900, 1902 and 1905. Also Queen Isabella of Spain and members of the Russian Imperial family (followed by the Russian nobility) visited the spa in the early 20th century.
