Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: On a yellow disc edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) purple border a purple cross bearing a yellow diamond charged with the stylized letters “CD” in purple. Overall dimension is 3 inches (7.62 cm).

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Azure, a pair of rifles in saltire Or surmounted with the cipher “C” of the first fimbriated of the second all below a passion cross of the last. Attached below a Gold triparted scroll inscribed “RELIGIO MORES CULTURA” in Blue letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia: The school colors are purple and gold. The stylized letters reflect the school’s name.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: The letter “C” reflects the school name.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia was approved on 27 February 1989. The Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 25 July 1950. It was amended to update the description on 24 September 1999.
