Official blazon

English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially in 2008.

The lower half of the arms is based on the arms of Étienne Daurat (who used a blue field with a gold chevron accompanied by three silver stars , former lord of Doix and responsible for the draining of the marshes. The chief shows the arms of Prior François Gusteau (abee pollinating a flower), who was a local poetic celebrity.
